Nonogram ("we", "our", or "the app") is a puzzle game developed by Christian Lowe. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

1. Data We Collect

Account Data (optional)

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier. This is used solely to sync your puzzle progress across devices. You can use the app without signing in.

Puzzle Progress

Completed puzzles, solve times, hint usage, streaks, and statistics are stored locally on your device. For premium subscribers who are signed in, this data is also stored in Google Cloud Firestore to enable cross-device sync.

Analytics & Crash Reports

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. This data is collected in aggregate and does not identify you personally. It includes:

Advertising

Free users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the IDFA on iOS) and use cookies or similar technologies to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings. Premium subscribers do not see ads and no ad-related data is collected for them.

Purchases

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through RevenueCat. We do not collect or store payment information such as credit card numbers. RevenueCat receives a transaction identifier and product purchased to manage your entitlements.

2. How We Use Your Data

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the following service providers, solely for the purposes described above:

4. Data Retention

Account and progress data is retained as long as your account exists. Analytics and crash data is retained for up to 14 months. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app.

5. Children's Privacy

The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require an account to use, and no personal data is collected from users who do not sign in.
